About Us

After twenty years in the travel industry, I had the wonderful opportunity to buy Mountain High Travel & Tours in 2005 from Muriel MacLeod. Thanks also to great staff and support from my family it is great to serve the people in the Elk Valley and beyond with their travel needs. We have two daughters in High School and love to travel. We went to Sandals in Jamaica and truly enjoyed the butler service that our room came with. I have scuba dived in Maui and Curacao, lived in Israel and in Europe and can advise you about this continent with so many cities, rivers beaches and archeological sites. I have worked for Mountain High Travel since August of 2008. I come from a counseling background and find that the skills that I have learned in other industries serve me well in the world of travel. I have traveled extensively myself and plan to add many other trips, countries and styles of travel to my experiences in the future. I tend to like higher end travel, gourmet experiences, spas and five star resorts. As my travels are a great asset to my work so are the experiences of our customers. Hello, my name is Lori Caravetta and I have been working at Mountain High Travel since December 1,2008. I was lucky enough to start my position at a time when Mountain High Travel was busy with their customers that were excited about traveling somewhere warm!
During this time I learned an amazing amount of information about all of the “Hot” destinations such as Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica and the Bahamas. These destinations had all the ingredients for the perfect family vacation.
